Community Solar for Good
The Giving Grid, spearheaded by ZEN, is a groundbreaking initiative that helps rural communities access clean, renewable energy while reducing operational costs and reinvesting those energy savings into much needed low-income programs. The Giving Grid uses solar savings to fund community programs for 10+ years.
The Giving Grid works with the state, Washington State University, and utilities to create lasting and impactful change at no cost to the recipient (whether that's a school, a library, or a community organization.)
ZEN and Partners for Rural Washington (PRWA) oversee The Giving Grid program and have been awarded more than $5 million for Eastern WA projects.
